Nofrendo is a NES emulator. Do you want to play your original Mario cartridge on your NumWorks calculator? Search no more! Thanks to this emulator, you’ll also be able to revive many other classic games like Super Mario Bros 3, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid or Castlevania!
How do i use it?
This app requires a digital copy of a NES cartridge to work. Think of this app as a virtual NES console: in order to play, you’ll also need a virtual cartridge! Don’t worry though, it’s super easy to get going:
- Download nofrendo.nwa
- Get a NES ROM file on your computer. For example, you can use this free 2048.nes ROM file.
- Plug your NumWorks calculator to your computer using an USB cable
- Head to NumWork’s app loader
- Select the
nofrendo.nwafile and then2048.nes(or any other.nesfile) - Click install
How do I play?
The controls are rather straightforward, because the NumWorks calculator uses a layout that’s very similar to the NES gamepad. Select and start are less obvious, so here’s a recap:

Moo tip
You will not find any ROM file of official Nintendo games on this site. Even though it’s pretty easy to find some online, keep in mind that you are not allowed to download a ROM file of a cartridge you do not own.
